[voice, filtered to Rowe, //UNHACKABLE//, and the post data is wiped from his journal]

Mr. Rowe.

I assume you have an explanation for this.

[voice is ice-cold]

Item 4 [Filtered to Silvana || Unhackable]

Fortunately, I have secured the more dangerous of my chemicals to prevent spilling and invasion by these....creatures.

Unfortunately, several consumed a dose of methyl iodide before I was able to seal it away. This produced a strange effect: they did not die immediately, but after bearing their brood, died along with their offspring. I believe them to be dead, at any rate: they are completely unresponsive. Likely, the iodomethane's carcinogenic properties were passed from parent to offspring, indicating that they were pregnant at the time of consumption.

Perhaps a poison is the key to ending this infernal infestation?

Item 3 [Filtered to Silvana || Unhackable]

[Filtered to Alex Rowe || Unhackable]

Captain, I should like to speak with you at once regarding the results of my investigations.

[/filter]

Well! I have had quite a time, I must say. But, alive and whole, I return once again to the good ship Silvana, and hope that nothing too dreadful has transpired in my absence. I am glad to see that my cabin was indeed left undisturbed: it is a welcome sight for sore eyes.

[filtered to self || unhackable]
Unfortunately, as I am a passenger on this ship, I find my finances have run rather low. A double-room provides space enough to spread out, but is also sadly just a bit beyond my means at this juncture. I suppose I must find myself a room-mate with whom to split costs. Surely there must be someone on this ship who would not be adverse to it...?

Item 2 [Filtered to Silvana || Unhackable]

It is with all due respect that I must take my leave of the ship at this time. I fully expect to return, but I regret to say that I cannot predict prescisely when.

As I am unable to take everything with me, I would like to request that my cabin be kept as it is. I will compensate the captain for any inconvenience this might pose, I assure you.

If anyone wishes to contact me, as telegrams or anything else of the sort will be quite impossible, I shall have my difference engine on me, although I cannot guarantee a prompt response.

Farewell.

((OOC: Holmes is getting off the ship first chance he gets and going off to investigate the poisoned village. Don't worry, he'll be back, and he'll be hacking all your posts watching the network as much as possible, but for now, he won't be in any Silvy logs for at least a month in-game.))

Item 1 [Filtered to Silvana, unhackable]

I fear I may have left this too late

Forgive me for not stepping forward sooner. I have been conducting my own investigations, but it seems I will need the crew's cooperation in this matter.

If you notice anything out of the ordinary, anything at all, especially relating to the ship's infrastructure, inform me as soon as possible. Do not discount the significance of the smallest detail, for it is by ignoring those details that we are undone. If you choose to use the network, secure it to the best of your ability, but I would greatly prefer to be told in person.

Hm, where are my manners? I do not believe I have been introduced to most of you. My name is Sherlock Holmes. I am a chemist by trade, but solving mysteries is a hobby of mine. I have some talent in the area of amateur detective work - perhaps some of you are familiar with my articles on the science of deduction and analysis? - and I am a firm believer in putting one's talent to use for the public good. My room is among the other passengers' quarters, and you will find that my door is open to any in need of help.

I understand you have a complete list of the "accident"-caused injuries over the past several weeks. I will come by your office within the next few hours to examine it, if that is no trouble to you.

I have a good idea of the locations of the other acts of sabotage - for it is sabotage - but would prefer to discuss this in person. The network is unreliable. In any case, you will find it far more useful than Mr. Ichimaru's "suggestion list".

[[OOC: You may have seen a well-dressed gentleman poking around. The key word here is "may"; he's reclusive, and what time he has not spent taking his meals (which he doesn't, not as often as he should - he's usually in there to get a piece of bread and tea once every few days, and is off again within minutes - or investigating different parts of the ship is spent in his room. You may have noticed an odd smell coming from his room from time to time, a strong smell of tobacco, or heard the strains of a violin as you passed his door. He has been rather rude if you approached him after the work-related accidents began to happen, and even more sullen after the death. However, he has gone about with a frenzied energy, and any time you've seen him, he's been very preoccupied.]]
